This day’s first leg was hauling all of our stuff to the new accommodation at the Lilac Guest House. Just about six blocks from our previous stay, the walk as not without complaints since bags were heavy, numerous and we were a person short since our daughter had left for camp already. We took several breaks along the way and finally made it to room B02 where we will be staying for the next couple of weeks. We talked with the host and his wife for a while then we went to eat lunch at a little shop my wife had found the day before. Tteokbokki, ramen and fried shrimp, glass noodles and dumplings: so tasty! And let’s not forget the shaved ice with cheese and sweet red bean syrup. Wow!

We then walked around the neighborhood, visiting a broken office chair that we passed on the way to the guest house that morning. I was hoping one of the wheels would work to replace a broken wheel on one of our suitcases. We split up and Dana and Jubi took a walk to the nearest grocery store and bought a bag of potatoes for 90 cents. I walked the other direction and we met up back at the Lilac House. We rested a bit then went out for a walk through the park and stopped by the next place we will be staying.

This is the Tabiya Guest House and Cafe where we met the owner and his wife. His wife is Japanese and they were hosting a party for some Japanese students from Yonsei University for the evening. They talked with Dana about My First, First Love and the filming next door, showed us their autographed pictures and invited us back for the season 2 premiere watch party they would be having on the 26th.

We popped into a 7-Eleven for some grapefruit juice and lime soju and heading back home. Along the way we saw many little frou frou, as we call them. Little dogs out for the evening walks with their owners were plentiful and I got my hand licked by one little, white cotton ball-so cute! We grabbed a few items from the grocery store around the corner before getting home. After a quick snack, soju and Dana’s noodle and fry bread cooking experiments, it was time to do a little work online and then hit the sack to get ready for a trip to Bok Chicken from Weightlifting Fairy Kim, Jageun Maeul in real life.
